Komiza and the island are a must, and the host was friendly and helpful. The location was also fantastic, just steps from the main strip and a short walk from beautiful, quiet beaches. But the apartment was a challenge, and I came away disappointed despite wanting to rate it higher. We booked late and got the most basic of the three rooms. Compared with the stone-walled pictures of the others, ours felt like a bare-walled hospice. The Art Deco furniture looked cool, but the sagging, noisy mattress seemed to be from the same era and made for a bad night's sleep. The bathroom smell was awful and came up through the drains the whole time. Without a window or extractor, it spread into the bedroom and became sickening. The shower filled with water as soon as it was on, and there was no holder for the shower head, so washing one-handed was nearly impossible. The place could be so much better. In my opinion, the bed and bathroom made it a poor stay, even with that ideal location and a fantastic host.
