Mira Sea Front Guesthouse

Waking up to that sea view and falling asleep to the waves made this stay special. We had the smallest accommodation for two, but the view each morning was breathtaking. The property is an old stone building on the waterfront, in one of the best spots in Komiža, and it was very clean. Tanja was polite. Lucica beach was our favorite for swimming, diving, and cooling off at the beach bar, where prices were fair. The walls aren't soundproof, so noisy neighbors could be a problem, though we had no trouble. Great value for the price.

We had a really disappointing stay. A few days before arrival, the host told us that, because he rents other properties in Komiza, we wouldn't get the accommodation we'd booked. He said he'd found us a bigger apartment for us and our baby, but sent no pictures beforehand. When we arrived, two women greeted us, and neither spoke English. We had arranged a baby bed when booking, but one suggested laying the baby on a beach mattress on the floor. The apartment we were given was small, dark, and not modern, unlike the one in the photos. It had no sea-facing windows, and the kitchen hob didn't work. The host was not welcoming, and when we paid, she refused to give us 50kn in change. It wasn't much money, but it added to our feeling that something was off. I'd recommend booking somewhere else if you want to avoid disappointment and enjoy this incredible island.

The location is beautiful, and the rooftop terrace was great. But the room smelled horrible, especially when the aircon was on. The woman who welcomed us didn't speak English, so it was very difficult to understand each other. Another guest even told us off for laughing on the terrace at 9pm.

The first night we were in a room beside the wooden stairs, and the noise was too much for me. Mrs Antonia kindly moved us to a beautiful, very quiet room elsewhere in the house. The place looks fresh and new, and it's very clean. Rooms vary in size, views, and how much outside noise they get.
