We stayed in room 2, a roomy one-bedroom apartment with a generously sized balcony and an amazing view. The accommodation and amenities are beautifully designed, and Jelica was a wonderful host who did everything she could for us. The facilities are truly 5*, and there’s a hot tub. The hosts collected us from the airport, about a 10-minute drive away, and took us back as well. It’s about a 12-minute walk into Cavtat, ideal for couples, with plenty of excellent restaurants. The walk back can be tough because the first part is very steep, or you can take a taxi for about £8. Taxi boats to Dubrovnik cost about £17 return, and the bus is £6 return. We took the bus there and the boat back, which was about £11 for a one-way trip. The most relaxing holiday I’ve had. Thank you. Xx

The pool was almost to ourselves for three days, which felt unreal, and with the sea views and sunset most evenings, it was hard to leave and explore. The infinity pool and comfy loungers are gorgeous, with plenty of room for everyone. The apartment is fresh, clean, modern, and incredibly well equipped. Jelica & Blaise are some of the loveliest hosts you could meet, always ready to help with questions or restaurant reservations and determined to make your stay great. Since it was our 10th anniversary, they welcomed us with figs from their tree, homemade liquor, chocolate crepes, and a bottle of local rose. Uber works brilliantly around here, and the bus to Dubrovnik is cheap, simple to use, and easy to catch at the end of the road. Wow, what a fantastic stay at Stella Maris, probably one of the best locations we’ve ever stayed.

I almost don’t want to review Stella Maris because I’d like to keep this gem a secret. We had an amazing stay: the hosts were the kindest, the apartment and facilities were delightful, and we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for such a wonderful time. Di and Richard, May 2018
