The host was kind and helpful from the start. He even met us at the harbor and drove us to the apartment, and he was always available when we needed something. The apartment was clean and affordable, with a kitchen, balcony, fridge, and air conditioning. The boiler was the one drawback, since it didn't always work properly. The location was handy, with a supermarket about a 10-minute walk away and a small beach around 10-15 minutes on foot. The water taxi to the city center leaves from Port 9, also about a 10-minute walk, and costs 3 euros. Without a car, the hop-on hop-off water taxi lets you see quite a bit, but for exploring all of Korcula, I'd bring or rent a car so you can visit attractions at your own pace. ANITA Apartments was good value for our group of four during our last four nights.

It was very hot in the rooms, and there was no air conditioning. The place felt as if it hadn't changed since 1950. There wasn't even a garbage container, and the cooking setup was poor, just two pots and very little for roasting. I wouldn't recommend it for families, especially with how hot the rooms get.
