Marina Guesthouse

From the balcony, you can watch boats moving in and out of the small marina. The road below is pedestrian only, so there's just a gentle buzz from people passing or having a drink at the pavement side. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the host is welcoming. It's a perfect place to stay in Korcula, with the beach a minute away and the old town five minutes on foot.

The room was a good size and very clean. The price was reasonable, booking went smoothly, and we were allowed to leave our luggage after checkout. It's convenient for the main town and ferry port without being right on top of either, and the little pebble beach is only a minute's walk away. The balcony was good for a pre-dinner drink and people watching. The host wasn't especially friendly, helpful or responsive. My partner got sick, and she didn't ask if she was okay or needed anything, such as a doctor. She seemed interested only in whether we'd be leaving early, and some of my messages went unanswered. There are two single beds. I asked if they could be pushed together and was told yes, so I booked. When we arrived, the bed frames meant there was an unavoidable six-inch gap between the mattresses. I felt misled and would have booked somewhere else if I'd known. The balcony overlooks a busy marina and pathway, plus a quieter bar/cafe that plays music. The noise was okay while we were out, wasn't too loud and didn't go on too late. It's good for people watching, though not the place if you want an idyllic, peaceful sea view.

The balcony view was lovely, and the owner was kind and ready to help. A great little place in a convenient spot, and it didn't cost much.

It was very good, though check the listing photos carefully. They seem to be mixed between quite a few different rooms.
