You can hear every breath from the guests in the apartment next door, and their dogs too. The photos don’t show that there’s a connecting door with no handle between the apartments, and it provides no soundproofing at all. The owner was nice to us only as long as we weren’t “problematic.” When we told her the other apartment was loud, she tried to reassure us by saying those guests were the problem and would be leaving soon. We know because she told us that. Three days later, we heard her phone conversation with the neighbouring guests. She told them we were crazy and would be leaving soon…

The lack of sound insulation meant we could hear conversations from the other apartment. There was no peace and no sleep. The apartment listing was misleading because it didn’t mention or show the door between the two units. The owner didn’t take proper action, and neither did the travel agent. Worst experience of my life.

The terrace is huge and covered, and the apartment has an amazing view and is well equipped. The host family were pleasant and helpful, and everything was great. There’s air conditioning only in the living room. The shop is about 500 meters away, along a busy road.
