Our dinner here was excellent, and breakfast was delicious too, with warm bread rolls and eggs made to order. Breakfast was included, and it was better than one we paid $25 for in Trieste. The rooms were comfortable, the bathroom immaculate, and the whole place was spotless. It’s right by the water, and we watched the sunset from our balcony. I loved the little detail of the tea cups being kept warm. It’s a charming, family-run hotel and restaurant, with lovely people. I only wish we could come back. Thank you, Ivana! Before we left, I noticed the retractable awnings on every balcony. They really have thought of everything.
We’ve traveled everywhere from remote backcountry to glamorous places, and this is one of the most charming spots we’ve found. Our room had a sea-front balcony overlooking the Adriatic, and breakfast came with it. The place was IMACULATE, not a thing out of place. The same woman who checked us in served dinner and breakfast. Mom cooks, the girls serve, and Dad oversees things. Prices are very reasonable, too. What a find! FREE PARKING FREE PARKING
I came for the restaurant, not the hotel, though I imagine the hotel is just as good. The oysters were super fresh, and the mussels were cooked really nicely. The starters were fantastic. I’d probably skip the pasta next time, though it wasn’t bad. The fritto misto was well done, the wine list is broad, and prices are affordable. We paid €130 total, or €65 each, sharing starters and fritto misto, with a pasta dish and a very nice bottle of wine. The staff were kind and friendly, and the sea view is amazing.
The staff were quite friendly, and the location is super nice. This is a small, family-run hotel with 10 rooms, and breakfast was delicious, especially the breads. There’s parking both in front of the hotel and in a private lot around it. We didn’t try the restaurant, but it was always full. You can swim right in front, though there isn’t really a beach. It’s a rocky area, so bring sea shoes. A gas station and supermarkets are very close, and Umag City Center is about 10 minutes away, with free parking there too. I recommend the hotel.
