Casa di Nives

Getting here is a bit of a hassle since the house is only accessible on foot. Paid parking is at least 800 meters away, while the free lot is 1-1.2 km away. Once there, though, the historic center location puts bars, pubs, and restaurants within easy reach. The house itself is small but has what you need.

The owners were very friendly, and I liked having both air conditioning and a private terrace. The room looked nice, though the showerhead kept slipping off its holder and could use fixing. The location is lovely, right in the center of Krk.

The apartments were clean and quiet. There are six of them in a renovated house in the historic center, just 15 meters from the castle square and very close to the beaches.

We were very disappointed. The apartment we had booked wasn’t available when we arrived because the owner was unsure about our dog’s breed. We had already agreed on everything by phone or email, and he had assured us then that the dog wouldn’t be a problem. For the record, our family’s Berenski Planšarki dog is female. He also didn’t want to write in Slovenian, and it was clear that communication in English wasn’t good enough.
