Hotel Duga Uvala

I’ve never stayed at a worse hotel. I spent 6 days here and just wanted to leave. They didn’t clean the room or replace the towels, even when I asked. We found two scorpions in our room, and the food could’ve been better too. The place feels wasted.

The price matches what you get, and the reviews make it sound worse than it is. Yes, the hotel is outdated, but the rooms are large, the bathroom is clean, the balcony is big and the bed is comfortable. The Asian staff are very polite and friendly. The pool is decent and the beach is beautiful. For a cheap price, it’s a solid enough hotel with nice staff.

I definitely won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The hotel service was at its worst, the bathrooms had dirt and fungus, and the neighborhood was nice but neglected. There’s no restaurant or shop near the hotel. Breakfast was disgusting and monotonous, though lunch was a bit better. A dinner normally costs 50 kn, but on the invoice they listed 50 kn and charged 12 euros. Stay far away from this center.

The view and beach are nice, but my room was freezing. It was the beginning of May and I felt like I was sitting in a fridge, wrapped in a blanket the whole time. The breakfasts were the same every day and the food wasn’t good. There are no shops nearby, with the nearest one 3km from the hotel. There are no cameras at the hotel either. We were charged for damage and other things that someone seemed to have imagined. If you invite a big party group, you should expect young people to come and have fun. Renting rooms to families at the same time was a stupid idea. Nobody was going to bed after 10:00pm.
