Hotel Kutina

My stay was awful, and I don’t think a 10% discount on some future visit is an acceptable response. I arrived at the hotel around 1 a.m. on August 11, but had to wait a long time for my room. There was no water, and the room wasn’t clean. In the morning, I found blood on the sheet. I asked for my money back, but the hotel refused. In its reply, it said there had been water, the room was cleaned, and the stain might have appeared overnight. I’m very dissatisfied and believe I should have received a refund.

The breakfast was decent and the coffee was good, and our renovated second-floor room had a comfortable bed and AC. For that price, a room like ours is a good deal, and we had a good stay overall. Cleaning was the downside: the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly when we arrived or afterward, our towel was missed one day, and there was dust that looked years old in the closet. Matea at the front desk was the one staff member there who was friendly and helpful.

We were a group with 19 rooms, and every room was full of insects, including large greenish butterflies and lots of flies crawling over the blankets and pillows. The hotel seemed fine at first, but it was unbearably hot, and only one room had air conditioning. Easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, and I had some lovely conversations with them. I also enjoyed the restaurant’s tasty, inexpensive lunch. Breakfast was decent, and the AC made the room comfortable even on hot days. I really liked staying here and felt I got great value for the price. Would recommend!
