Apartments Mariano

The house itself was fantastic, and the grounds were kept up really well. We liked being tucked away from the crowds, with nothing much nearby. The owners were also very friendly and helpful, which I feel for them because our stay was such a letdown. We paid quite a bit, and with these conditions I wouldn't have stayed even for free. The biggest problem was the noise from several construction sites right next door. Work ran from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays included, so there was no chance to sleep in or enjoy the quiet we expected. Someone was chipping bricks less than 15 meters away all day, with a cement mixer right there too. Portable toilets stood only 10 meters from the patio, which was unpleasant while we were grilling, especially when they were being emptied and cleaned. There was the dust and racket from trucks coming and going and being loaded by a squealing excavator, too. We also shared the advertised private pool with Polish families staying in the other accommodations. I didn't count everyone, children included, but there were four cars and I guessed around 10 to 14 people. They said they'd been coming for three years, and seemed to treat the place as their own, with clothes and toys everywhere. The pool is only about 3 by 6 meters and there weren't enough loungers for that many people. We couldn't find a place to sit or use the pool because it was always occupied, so we stayed on the terrace instead. Construction on one side, noisy families on the other. They partied with loud music until 4 a.m., and at 2:45 they banged on our door and woke us up, even though they knew we were leaving that day. So much for a peaceful stay.

We had a lovely 8-night family stay, the four of us, with two adults and two children. The house itself isn't big, but there's loads of room around it, and it's a wonderful spot. Everything was spotless and so well kept. We had a great time.

The hosts were lovely, and the apartments were clean. It's a calm, peaceful place, and I highly recommend it.

We found it peaceful and quiet, a great spot for a family break with our dog.
