Tena Apartments

I really liked the jacuzzi and the free parking. It’s a modern apartment, close to lovely places around Istria like Brijuni Islands, Rovinj, and Pula. The host is very welcoming, and for the price you get more than you’d expect, which was one of the main reasons we chose it. I definitely recommend it.

Beautiful place.

We didn’t know before arriving that the landlord and his whole family lived right below the apartment, and we felt watched the whole time. There was also a long list of house rules. Some weren’t obvious, and neither the rules nor the family living downstairs had been mentioned on the travel portals. The apartment itself has a lot going for it: modern furnishings and a nice balcony with seating. The hot tub is large and attractive, but it sits in the garden right in front of the landlord’s windows. It only heats from the sun, so the temperature can’t be raised, apparently to save money. Since you can’t use its extra features either, a regular pool would offer the same benefit, and I wouldn’t choose this apartment because of the hot tub. I’d only recommend it to families with children who are out during the day and asleep by 10 p.m. We could definitely have found better accommodation for our week’s holiday.

I’m staying here now, and I disagree completely with the negative reviews. I suspect those reviewers are “party animals”; these apartments are much too nice for that. The landlords do live in the same building, but we found them kind and accommodating. They were always available for questions or help, and we didn’t feel watched or disturbed. We have two teenagers who argue constantly and aren’t in bed by 10 pm, and no one has complained to us 🤷🏼‍♀️ The apartment is modern and practical. It isn’t advertised as newly built, and there are a few minor signs of wear from previous guests, as the pictures show. Calling it run-down is outrageous. It was spotless, including all the dishes, and freshly disinfected. I couldn’t find any mold or anything like that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who isn’t part of the current party.
