We'd love to come back. Franka and Vanda made us feel like family, and their English was impeccable. They know island life inside out and also know nearby Dubrovnik so well. Being made to feel at home thousands of miles from the U.S. was priceless and made our stay feel once in a lifetime. We had the whole floor of a beautiful villa with an Italian-coast feel, almost like something from a movie. Lopud itself feels cinematic too. The villa is about 30 seconds from the beach and barely a minute from the restaurants and the island's charming promenade. It would work just as well for a romantic getaway as for a family holiday with kids.

The location was perfect, just a few hundred meters from the restaurants, beach, and ferry, though we enjoyed taking the private boat. Vanda and Franka made our Friday-to-Sunday holiday possible and arranged transport from Dubrovnik airport straight to the accommodation in their lovely house. They also booked us a table at one of the best seafood restaurants so we could watch Saturday's sunset. Highly recommended!

I wasn't a paying guest, but the rooms looked well appointed and the apartments are independent. They're on a quiet side street, about 100 yards from the ferry and 60 yards from a small, clean sandy beach.

Franka and Vanda are such lovely, warm people, and Villa Franka is right in the centre of Lopud, tucked away in a quiet alley. We loved it so much.
