Apartment Toma

The best part was being so close to the sea. One flight of stairs took us straight down to wonderful, clear water with no sea urchins. Shopping meant about a 20-minute drive along the coastal road. We won’t return. The bedroom bed felt like a slab of stone and left my back in terrible pain. The living room sofa bed was softer, but its springs still pressed into you. There’s no air conditioning in the living room, so it became unbearably hot. The only air conditioner is in the bedroom. It cools the room, but it’s broken and keeps leaking and overflowing. The kitchen in the living room was well equipped. The bathroom was small but adequate, with a washing machine and a little window, though the drain smelled bad and the door wouldn’t close properly. With four of us, eating inside was the only option. The terrace facing the sea is only big enough for two.

We had 14 wonderful days in this peaceful, beautiful holiday spot. The hosts were kind and helpful, especially the landlady.

Everything was just right. I’d happily come back.
