Guest House Lovrić

We really enjoyed sitting out with Lovrić’s own wine, especially in the afternoon before dinner, and I highly recommend a tasting with Lovrić himself. The balcony looks out across the bay, and the guesthouse sits a little above Lumbarda, so the view is wonderful. It’s also a lovely spot for morning coffee before breakfast. Salvina is so friendly, and both she and her husband were happy to help with anything. Definitely recommend!

The terrace has lovely ocean views, and the family-run hotel and winery is conveniently located near Lumbarda on the island of Korcula. Facilities are decent, and the rooms were comfortable, though dated. Breakfast was self-service and just okay. I was initially puzzled that there were no blankets in the room and no AC controller, but it all worked out fine.

We had booked six months ahead for two adults and our toddler, and had already been charged for the room. Then, at 10 pm the day before arrival, the hotel manager called to say children weren't allowed on the property, even though their online policy said children of all ages were welcome. When we explained the booking, he kept shouting, “no no no … no kids allowed.” He was rude and showed no empathy. We were left without accommodation just a day before arriving, with that news coming at 10 pm. During the busiest travel season, we had to find somewhere else within 24 hours. I can't recommend booking here. The stress and anxiety of suddenly being told you're not welcome the day before arrival isn't worth it. I hope no other family has to go through what we did.

The neighborhood is quiet, and there are restaurants right by the apartment. The port is only a five-minute walk away, with free parking in front. The apartment itself was perfect, fresh, clean, and very well equipped. Our host was lovely and helpful.
