At night it's pleasantly quiet, since the fresh apartment and its nice balcony are a little tucked away. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The beach and town are about a 5-10 minute walk, depending on where you're headed, at an easy pace with all your beach gear. A good pick if you want quieter nights but still want to be near the beach in Makarska.
The kitchenette had what we needed to make breakfast or lunch, and the rooms were clean. The hosts were very nice, and it took around 6-7 minutes to walk to the beach. I'd recommend this lovely vacation spot, and would stay here again if I return to Makarska.
The hosts came into our apartment without telling us or getting our consent. They took a chair away on the first day, then switched off the air conditioning the following day. The place itself was a dark, dirty dump.
Our hostess was very friendly, and the apartment was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It wasn't far from the beach, and it was especially great that they welcomed dogs. We were very happy with it and will definitely return.
By 10 pm everything was completely dead. We'd expected a quiet spot just 100 meters from the restaurant, through a pine forest, but the place was actually 3 km away, after about a thousand steps. Each house had its own color markings, yet halfway up another staircase they could still send you back. That staircase is wholly unsuitable for children, with a risk of falling down the slope.
