Apartments Villa More

After more than a decade of visiting Makarska and trying different places to stay, we finally found the one we'd choose again. The owners are always kind and ready to help, and the apartments are clean and neat. The location is hard to beat, especially since we know the area pretty well by now. It's also a great spot if you want to try diving. Makarska is lovely beyond the summer season too, and we'll definitely stay with them next time we come.

The one thing we really liked was how close the sea was. The room itself was tiny, old, and dirty, and didn't match what had been promised when we booked. There was a two-star sign under the pepper garland by the door, and the bathroom door creaked terribly. For that price, the place could use renovation. Our terrace was shared with another apartment and an aunt who kept coming out whenever we went somewhere. There was also a husky at the property that doesn't like children, so it didn't feel suitable for families. They said Lidl was 1 km away when we booked, but it was nearly 3 km in reality. Makarska gets overcrowded in season.

We came at Easter and found a modern, clean place with everything well equipped. The beach is a wonderful two-minute walk away, and the long waterfront path goes all the way to the big harbor. It's handy having the diving base and accommodation together, and you can book in Hungarian or learn to dive. The owner lives in the house and is happy to help. Five stars 👍
