Hotel Mirjam

Everything worked as it should throughout our stay, and nothing went wrong. The hotel is well built, clean, and well maintained, with professional staff. One of the best places we’ve stayed.

The rooftop pool and breakfast were particular highlights for our group. Our room was spacious and well equipped, and the Wi-Fi signal was great. The staff were very sweet and helpful, and arranged an airport transfer at a really reasonable price. I’ll absolutely come back.

The rooftop pool has gorgeous views, and the breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and special options like fresh smoothies. Our room was spacious, pleasant, and cleaned daily. We appreciated the quiet location in Makarska after discovering how lively and noisy the centre can be, and slept well. The hotel sits on a small hill, but the beach is only a short walk away and getting there shouldn’t be a problem. One thing that could be improved is the pool bar, which serves drinks but no light snacks. Check-in was also awkward: there was nowhere to stop the car temporarily, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs from the parking area. That wasn’t a nice start.

There are lots of restaurants nearby, though we did wish the hotel itself had a restaurant for the occasional meal in. The parking area seemed limited, but we always found a space when we needed one, so perhaps we were lucky. Our garden-view room was a typical hotel room, nothing special, but very clean, and the cleaners did a good job each day. The pool area was great and spacious enough, and the staff were very friendly. As others have said, breakfast was really good. We stayed five nights and would recommend the hotel.
