Romana Beach Apartments

The location is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the apartment, but the price is far too high for what you get. Our private pool terrace had no real privacy: it was on the ground floor beside the main pool, with the sea partly visible and no tall divider between the two areas. There’s no private beach, just a nice public beach nearby, and the hotel doesn’t provide sunbeds. You can rent one from a nearby hotel for 25 euros per day. Half-board food felt like 3-star quality, definitely not 4-star. The extra pull-out sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable. The stay wasn’t worth the asking price.

A nice hotel for a family visit, with air-conditioned rooms. You can choose a room with your own pool, which the kids liked. Rooms without a sea view offer a bit more privacy since they face the car park instead of the main pool. The car park was full all the time, as locals used it too. The air conditioner made quite a lot of noise, maybe something was wrong with it.

We had to find somewhere at the last minute after our other accommodation was cancelled, and this worked out perfectly. Our superior suite was clean and comfortable, with great air conditioning. Breakfast was great too, and you’re right on the beach and close to everything. The staff were very kind and helped us with information about the area and places to visit. Highly recommend.

The location is great, but the room upkeep and cleaning really let us down. We were travelling with toddlers, and the first thing we noticed was a wall socket almost coming out of the wall. The front entrance door stop was broken and had just been left on the floor. In the main room, the ceiling wasn’t covered, so the cables were visible. The kitchen tap had no filter, which made water spray everywhere. The strangest thing was the kitchen extractor fan (see attached photo). There’s a sign telling guests to open all the windows while cooking because the smoke detectors are sensitive and can easily go off, cutting electricity to the whole building. (?)
