Casa IDa

We found Casa IDa spotless when we arrived, and the whole property was in immaculate shape. The owners live next door and were very friendly and easy to reach if we needed anything, while still giving us our space. Towels, dishwashing supplies, spices, toilet paper, and other essentials were already there. There were eight of us, four adults and four children across two families, and the house was just the right size. It looked just as lovely as the pictures online. We spent two weeks there in July, and the warm weather meant we could make every meal in the outdoor kitchen beside the pool. The pool stayed sunny until sunset, so the water was always pleasant and we could happily spend the day there. The house is inland, just across the Serbian border, in a quiet, sparsely populated area that was great for unwinding. Shops are around a 15-minute drive away, and getting to the coast for a swim takes about 30 minutes. Istria is a great place for a family trip with young kids, with lots to see. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa IDa! The Wi-Fi and internet were a little slow, though that may not be such a bad thing when you're trying to relax. There isn't currently an electric car charging station at the house.
