Family Hotel Vespera

Hotel Vespera was a fantastic stay, and we’d gladly return. The one drawback was that the entrances into the sea weren’t very nice. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the food was a highlight, with a great range of choices at both breakfast and dinner. The hotel has plenty of activities and amenities for children. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and made us feel at home.

The "Losinava" festival was on while I was there, including the 43rd Losinj Regatta. I loved watching all the ships sail past and turn around the buoy in front of the beach. Even with Aurora and Vespera close together, the area never felt too crowded or noisy. I was glad to find shady spots along the coast to get out of the strong sun. The shore is rocky, with ladders down to the sea, which worked fine for me; there are also regular rocky beach areas for easier access. The hotel staff were friendly and ready to help, and there’s plenty to do if you like being active. I stayed from 7. to 13. September and absolutely loved it.

Dinner was a crowded mess, with too many people trying to fit into the two-hour dining window. The food itself was varied and very tasty. The dining, cleaning, and reception staff were friendly and did their best when we asked for help. Getting to the beach with a stroller meant taking the long way around, since more access ramps are needed. The adult pool has no ramp access either. The beach is rocky, with its ups and downs, but the surrounding trees provide plenty of shade and it never felt crowded. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. Nearby, there are just two beach bars and a food stall, with little else on offer. Our room was OK but a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn’t strong enough to cool it properly, so it felt stuffy. The beds weren’t anything special, though the bathroom was great. We had a spacious balcony with a decent view, but the trees blocked most of the sea. There are two lifts on one side. They felt too small for the demand, but always worked and took us up and down quickly. Just an OK experience for us.

The scent of the pines and that emerald sea are going to stay with me for a long time. We spent nine days here, and they went by so quickly. We felt relaxed and enjoyed every moment, from the accommodation and tasty food to the hotel staff, kids’ activities, beaches, and Borik restaurant. Everything was simply perfect. Looking forward to coming back. ☀️🌲🤗
