Paradise Village Poljana

We stayed in the Relax Camping homes, and it was the nicest camping experience I’ve had. The homes were a bit small, but we made it work. Whenever something needed fixing, we could call the campsite and they sorted it out right away. There are some nice facilities, including a tennis court, football field, and beach volleyball court. The view was amazing and the rocky beach was great. I’d recommend it and would love to come back.

A lot of the pitches have lovely views and access to the bay, and ours was spacious, fairly level, and solid underfoot. Tall trees gave us shade around midday while letting in sun in the morning and afternoon, though the hard ground made ordinary tent pegs tricky. We’d return without hesitation. The staff were friendly and spoke good English, and there’s plenty to do and explore nearby. The facilities were especially good: private shower rooms with hooks, a mirror, and a sink, plus similarly clean toilets. The same block has separate sinks for washing dishes and clothes. There’s also a restaurant and bar, reception, and grocery store, along with other services I didn’t have time to check out. Definitely one of the best campsites we’ve visited.

The campsite itself was very nice, but I was surprised by the extra amount due at reception. I booked a tent place in February 2024 and paid €783 online. Staff then explained that environmental and tourist taxes were due, which was completely understandable, but there were other charges too. I paid another €231 on site, including €156 in unexpected fees.

The inlet is wonderfully sheltered for swimming, and there’s a little shop on site. We liked the sea views, available for an extra €5 per night, or the shade among the pines. Everything was very clean, and the washing facilities were excellent. It’s also a short ride to beautiful Mali Losinj and all its restaurants. We’d paid for seven nights, but a puncture delayed our arrival by two days. We emailed and called to let them know, then had to leave two days early to stick to our schedule. They still refused to refund any money. Unnecessary greed, in my opinion.
