The apartment was small but tidy, and the beach was about a 10-minute walk away. The host seemed friendly. Our five-year-old son accidentally broke part of a bedside lamp at night, and we told the host right away because we wanted to cover the loss. We were surprised to be asked for 30 €, with the explanation that they had to buy two matching lamps. Lamps like that are easily available at IKEA, and one costs around 8 €. It isn’t about the money, it’s about treating guests properly.
