Malinska Green Apartments

We had such a good stay last year that we’re going again this year. It’s a lovely family place, with a good price and very good quality. The modern apartment has what you need inside; the one thing missing is a pool. Thanks for the hospitality ❤️👏

The nicest part for walking or cycling is the promenade and the other paths you can explore during the day. The accommodation was clean, and there’s an EV charger in the parking lot. Even so, the smaller problems added up over our week at Malinska Green Apartments, and I wouldn’t recommend it or come back myself. Don’t come expecting a proper beach. There are cliffs where you can sit if you bring chairs, and a few concrete platforms among the Haludovo ruins, but they’re a long walk away. It doesn’t work for families or children. The complex also feels more set up for dogs than people, and you may find dog mess on the paths. SUPs are advertised, but you have to rent them at a high price, then carry the boards up and down the hill. It’d be easier and cheaper to rent near the sea. The hill makes getting around awkward. The houses are uphill, while the parking is in a separate area below. Reception is in the first house at the top. We got a house near the bottom, so each time we needed the car we had about a 500-meter walk up and down. Nearby parking spaces do exist, but they cost extra. At check-in, our toilet seat was broken. We reported it and were told it was already marked in the system, but couldn’t be fixed that Sunday. Since they knew about it and not all apartments were booked, I don’t understand why we weren’t assigned another one. For what we paid, that made a poor first impression. The surroundings weren’t appealing to me. From apartments near reception, the old communist-era hotel ruins fill the view, with the sea behind them. Some reviewers seem to like them, but I don’t want that view on holiday. There are no nearby restaurants or shops either. The town center is about 15 minutes on foot through a forest. The path is lit, but feels empty and not very safe at night. Driving would help, except for that long uphill walk from the parking lot. The place also feels far from the sea. If you do stay and want a real beach, Galapagos Beach is about a 15-minute drive away.

The place itself is good, but for the price I expected more. A few things should be set up before the tourist season starts.

We really enjoyed our couple of days here. Beautiful view, and the staff were so nice. A perfect place.
