The best thing going for this place seems to be where it is. The beach is right across the road, and there are other beaches worth exploring along the shore in both directions. Relax, a little beach bar/cafe farther down the road, had decent snacks and very reasonable prices for its beachfront spot. Wi-Fi works there, too. This is the sort of place I'd tell people not to rent, though. We won't be coming back. The price should be half lower. At that point, you'd be better off sleeping in your car or on the beach. We were there in July 2025, two adults and two kids, in the smaller downstairs apartment. Wi-Fi was NON-EXISTENT. They gave us a password as if everything was fine, but it didn't work. I work remotely sometimes and had counted on the advertised Wi-Fi. The owners suggested sitting on the stairs or on the upstairs terrace when the signal was bad, but neither was practical, and the signal wasn't better there. Sleeping was rough too. The sofa bed was painfully hard, the fridge made a loud noise nonstop and kept interrupting our sleep. If anyone staying there reads this, turning its temperature down a little, to about 3, stops that awful sound. The shower pressure was poor, and the shower head needs replacing. It's a small expense, but the owners don't seem to care. The kitchen also had none of the basics like salt, sugar, or oil, so bring everything. The road is very busy even at night, so we had to shut the windows to sleep. The airport is only about 4 km across the bay/channel, and the noise from planes taking off and landing from morning until almost midnight bothered some people.
PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, YOU WILL BE GRANTLEY DISAPPOINTED 😞 I tried to raise the problems with the owner, who didn't see an issue with any of it, and she refused my request for compensation. The apartment was booked through an agency, which wasn't helpful either. There were serious problems with the bathrooms. One leaked, had no shower curtain, so the whole room got wet when you showered, and had no shelves. The sink was about the size of a bowl. The only mirror in the appartment was so high that you'd need to be at least 165cm tall to see your face. The bedsheets had a hole. All the double beds were made by joining two single mattresses, which made them uncomfortable. In the apartment booked for five, there were only two double beds, and they brought an old pop-up bed for the fifth teenager. The comfort was what you'd expect. The photos don't match the apartments at all. The filters made them look cosy and bright, but in reality they felt like prison cells with TINY windows. Our one bedroom apartment had no bedroom doors, and its window faced the busy area where people could look inside. We were overlooked AT ALL TIMES and had to keep the curtain drawn for privacy. It was described as having a "garden view." There were a few plants and trees outside, but there was an apartment block on the left and other residents on the right. One room faced the sea, while the other looked toward the "famous" garden and got VERY LITTLE light. It felt like a basement. The room's bulb must have been 15 watts, since switching it on made no difference. The Wi-Fi didn't work. There was one router for two apartments, and no matter where we put it or what we tried, there was no signal. With five teenagers along, that was a huge down! Facilities were missing too: one apartment had no microwave, the other had no kettle, and doing a wash cost €7.
The hosts are friendly and always around the villa, and parking is guaranteed right by the beach. The apartment is on the first line of the beach, so there's no need to climb stairs to get to it. Just be careful when leaving the property, especially with kids. The street is busy and has no shoulder, and after 5 p.m. beachgoers return toward Trogir in heavy traffic. We stayed in the apartment for two. At first glance 🤪 it was tiny, but we managed. The kitchen is small but works for breakfast, with a new drip coffee maker, a large fridge, pots and pans, and basic cleaning supplies. The bathroom is tiny too, with a slide-out shower and a sink practically the size of a bowl 😉. The mattress, though, was really comfortable. There's a flight of stairs to reach the terrace above our room, and that big terrace saved our vacation 😊. Lovely sea views and a good spot to watch planes coming in 😆. Traffic over Split is huge, with planes landing or taking off about every 7 minutes on average. That didn't bother me much.
I had the dubious pleasure of staying here two years ago, and my review has disappeared. It seems reviews are being deleted. I can definitely confirm it's best to avoid this place.
