Villa Old Mill

It's very close to the port and well located in milna, though it's clearly not as lively as hvar. Sometimes they took a day to get back to my messages and requests.

The neighbors were noisy throughout, and the dirty pool made me wonder whether anyone maintained it. Inside, the sofa had stains, the balcony and floor were extremely dirty, and the toaster was full of crumbs. The shower head even came off in my hands. I wish I hadn't booked this apartment. The stay was a disaster, and I'd avoid it.

The view from the balcony was great, and the location was excellent, though there are hills to climb. Parking was available. Even so, we wouldn't book this place again at this price. We booked for 8 people, but the glasses, plates, chairs, and tables seemed to serve no more than 6. The outdoor grill was dirty from previous guests and had no grates. The rooftop terrace had no roof or cushions on the seating, there were hardly any sun umbrellas, and bushes and plants had grown across the pool area. The pool was dirty, its skimmer black, the lifebuoy cracked, and tiles loose around it. Dirt was everywhere, and the pictures on different platforms were old and misleading. There was mold in the basement, and the basement bathtub was missing fixtures. The crib was moldy, and after we complained, the cleaning lady only wiped it twice with a rag. The requested high chair looked like it had been left by the previous occupant. Two bathrooms had no light. We had to fix some roller shutters and cabinet doors ourselves. There were no garbage bins for waste. The air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived, and after we contacted the landlord several times, the cleaning lady came a few times and said it needed to be adjusted properly. It was finally repaired after a week, with no one contacting us. Someone entered the property without our knowledge. On arrival, nobody was there, so we had to find our room ourselves.

What a disappointment, especially since the building itself is beautiful. The apartment was spacious and had a lovely view. The main problems were poor upkeep and no welcome or explanation, even though they knew when we were arriving. There were stains on the stairs and dead leaves scattered around. The pool was unusable, with green water. The dishwasher filter was rotten and smelled moldy, an armchair was broken, and the sofa bed's cover was horrible, only good for small things. The frying pan had scratched Teflon and a warped base. The bathroom light had come loose from the wall and didn't work. The attic apartment is very impractical for someone of average height, since the kitchen drawers are off to the side and you have to keep bending down while cooking.
