The view was gorgeous, and the little beach is just a quick walk away. It’s a great fit for two or three people, with wonderful hosts. The Soline bus stop is nearby, and a taxi gets you to the old town in about 15 minutes.

The quiet setting is a real treat: the garden and veranda look out to the sea, with fruit and vegetables growing, swallows darting about and cicadas in the background. Getting down to the pebble beach takes a steep walk, and coming back up does too, but we thought it was well worth it. The beach was peaceful, and swimming in the clear water, spotting fish and cooling off in the 30-degree heat, was wonderful. We found the apartment comfortable, especially the bed, and had everything we needed for cooking. It was clean and well kept, with working Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a good shower and useful cooking facilities. There’s a small shop about ten minutes away on foot, and nearby buses on route 10 go towards Dubrovnik or Cavtat. The family made us feel welcome from the start and went out of their way to help. They even noticed it was my husband’s birthday and left us lovely treats. The homemade liqueur, apricots, lemonade and candied orange peel were all fabulous, and the thoughtful gifts of homegrown food were such a lovely touch. You can tell the owners take pride in their beautiful apartments. We also took full-day trips to Mostar and Kotor, then went sightseeing, shopping and out to restaurants in Dubrovnik and Cavtat. We had the best time and were so grateful to the kind family for making our stay special. If you’re considering a holiday here, just book it, you won’t regret it.

The setting is lovely, and Dubrovnik’s old town is only about a 15-minute drive away. The owners were welcoming and made us feel right at home.
