The pool area was lovely, with sunbeds, parasols and a nice sea view. We spent a lot of time there during our five nights. Our room and bathroom were clean, and we had a lovely terrace, though we mostly avoided using it because of all the mosquitoes. A friendly woman was always around to answer questions and suggest things to do, but I can't remember her name. We enjoyed staying here.

We only spent one night at Villa Carmen, but had a great time. The hosts were really helpful, with advice on getting around Dubrovnik and where to park. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, and there are parking spaces right out front. Our room was farther away, so WiFi was spotty for me, but it wasn't a big deal. Best of all, the place has lovely views of the beach.

Mlini was picture perfect, and we loved strolling down to the bars at sunset and having dinner in a relaxed setting. It was a welcome break after the busy, tourist-packed streets of Dubrovnik. Villa Carmen was one of our favourite holidays, and we'd return tomorrow. We had stunning ocean views from our terrace and a peaceful pool area. The beach is just minutes away, and the hotel provides padded roll-ups to take along if you want to lie on the stones. A wonderful location.

The location was fantastic, with views over the road to the sea. Our modern room was clean, the buffet breakfast was great, and the hosts were fantastic. Just be aware there are some steep steps, so it wouldn't suit people with mobility issues. Highly recommend. Howard Manchester
