Villa Palma

Villa Palma is right opposite Mlini harbour, with beaches and places to eat close by. We stayed in room 2 upstairs. It was clean and pleasant, with a big wardrobe, balcony, and A/C, though the bathroom was very small but manageable for a week. There was a kettle, but no tea, coffee, shampoo, or shower gel. The hosts were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They offer breakfast for 60 kuna per person, which you won't find anywhere else, and airport transfers too, handy on Sundays when there's no public transport. The terrace was beautiful, shaded by trees and vines, with well cared for flowers in pots. There's a nice Italian restaurant and bistro next to Villa Palma, plus spots to relax with a drink. Our favorite beaches were opposite Villa Carmen and farther along near Srebreno harbour. You can take the water taxi to Dubrovnik and Lokrum from opposite Villa Palma for 100 kuna return, but if there are more than two of you, an Uber there and back is better. It was just under 100 kuna off peak and went up to 150 kuna when busier. Across from hotel Sheraton, Ruzmarin is definitely worth eating at. Bar Gusar makes a strong Mojito, and Restaurant Oleander does a VERY tasty strawberry mojito!
