Apartments Dalamar

I have mixed feelings about the wooden cabin beside the main house. The owner was nice and very helpful, and the deck was large and pleasant, but there was no sea view. The photos hide this with the angle, and show what looks like a wooden cabin; what we found was a small container, like one carried on trucks or used as a temporary office, with a plain white metal front. It would have been good to see the front as it actually is. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and small, with sheets barely enough to cover it, let alone two people. The pillows were terribly uncomfortable too. There were nearly all the channels, including HBO and other primetime ones, which was great, but the TV was terrible. It tilted upward from the bed's viewing angle, and the black tint made the poor display even harder to see. A few changes and more honest advertising would make the fair price seem better, or acceptable.

We stayed almost a week, and for the price the apartment offers quite a lot. The Wi-Fi was really good, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Just don't expect a 5 star hotel. Ventilation matters since it only has an AC system. Babino Polje is the island's biggest village, with two big supermarkets, a café/bar, doctors, nearby hiking routes and the odysseys caves. You need a rented car, seriously, to get around; every place on the island is within 30 minutes by car. Good driving skills help everywhere, and Babino Polje is no exception. The apartment is at one end of the village, so you don't have to stress over its tiny, only road. The owner's parents are next door and are really kind, and try to be as helpful as possible.

I can't find the words for our 6 days at the Dalamar apartment. It was clean and peaceful, and the hosts made us feel so at home that we can't wait to return next year 🙂 Wonderful people, accommodation and surroundings. Highly recommended, and a great example for others. Congratulations and thank you for everything!
