Apartments Lampalo

We came by boat to okuklje cove for the night and dinner, and Peter helped us get moored. About ten minutes later he brought over a cake and the dinner menu, which was a lovely surprise. The choices were limited, mostly grilled fish and seafood, but everything we had was delicious. The fresh fish was perfectly grilled, portions were generous, and prices were moderate. Jele, the cook, came by to make sure we were happy with everything. In the morning, there was freshly baked bread and cakes for breakfast. We’d definitely come back.

The restaurant was one of the best parts of our month cruising Croatia. It’s family-run, with a lovely deck looking over the bay, and the meals were delicious and good value. We ate and drank very well for 60€. The husband and wife who run it were delightful and so generous. After dinner they gave us pear liqueur, and after we moored at their dock, they brought us homemade cherry cake that afternoon and warm crepes the next morning. I only wish every Croatian restaurant were like this.

Okuklje was our favorite spot on the island, with clear water and a protected bay. We had a wonderful stay, and the hosts went out of their way to look after us. There was a special cake for us each morning, and we had everything we needed and more. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed here with my wife in August 2023 and found it peaceful and lovely. Our room, the balcony view, the food, and the hosts were all wonderful. They even gave us desserts before we headed to the beach in the morning. A top-notch place with great hosts, highly recommended.
