Apartment Motovun

Motovun has become the Zwolack family's second home, and they bring the same passion to welcoming guests here. I first met them in Poland, where they ran an amazing guesthouse. Back then I was struck by how many expensive, well-regarded hotels still couldn't match the reviews they had on TripAdvisor. Meeting them made it clear why: they care deeply about giving guests what they need, with comfort, quality, and a sense of peace. I can say a visit to the Zwolacks will stay with you for a long time. Awesome!

It was a great experience meeting the owners, who were so kind and positive. They clearly put care into every detail, and the place feels thoughtfully put together rather than furnished with random odds and ends. The owner is even building a boat at a nearby shipyard, the only shipyard I've seen in the hills. Amazing!

The apartment has amazing views and everything we needed for a comfortable short stay in this lovely hillside town. There are several restaurants around town with good food and drinks, and plenty of nice villages and towns nearby. Rovinj and Porec are also only a short drive away. Motovun is a beautiful, historic town, and wandering its narrow cobbled lanes was a pleasure. The apartment made a lovely base, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a garden that's great for relaxing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home. Set in a carefully restored building, the place has a cozy feel and lots of thoughtful details, from the furnishings to the decorations. The owner's paintings on the walls give it a distinctive artistic touch. From the terrace and inside the house, we could take in the hilltop views across the valleys and surrounding landscape. A stay here brings together comfort, the character of an old place, and beautiful scenery.
