Škalniški

Birdsong, sheep bleating, and chickens clucking are the sounds around this charming little house, tucked among woods, wild meadows, and overgrown pastures. It's a real escape in nature, and the house has modern equipment and everything you need. Just bring food and drinks. You can see the care and craftsmanship as soon as you walk in. The drive there is a bit of an adventure, but the setting makes you forget about it.

Villa Škalineki 1 is in a lovely spot, but what really stands out is how lovingly Ivan and his wife look after the villa and pool. It feels like a little paradise. Warmly recommended.

Holiday Home Škalniški is great for families, whether you bring a dog or not. The big garden has a trampoline, swings, and two little soccer goals, and there's a pool plus a covered hot tub for a dip whenever you feel like it. The hosts are very kind and helpful. They always find a way to solve any issue, so just ask, and they have good restaurant tips too. The house is in a small valley with a few other homes, reached by a little gravel road that was no problem for us. Even when it was 32°C in Opatija, the forest kept it to a comfortable 26-28°C here, with a nice cool-down in the evening. Internet is weak because of the location, but our hotspot gave us a solid LTE connection.

The house is lovely, and the hosts are even more wonderful. A perfect spot to get away from civilization and relax in comfort. All you hear through the day is birdsong, and there are lots of forest paths nearby for walks.
