Apartment Nevena

The best part for us was being able to reach the coast in under a minute. The beach is mostly pebbles, with a pleasant way into the water that also works for small children, though there’s little shade, so bring some kind of beach umbrella. We were very happy with the stay and plan to return. We first stayed in Nevena's apartment, which is in Betina, on the street facing Tisno and the mainland. Finding the entrance can be tricky at first: take the narrow lane by the white-doored garage and the small sign advertising dried figs. It’s a concrete alley with stone walls near the start. After 30 meters, turn left at the first house to reach the courtyard. Take care pulling back onto the road, since there’s no traffic mirror and visibility is poor. There’s room for about 5-6 cars, including parking under a few old olive trees. The friendly owner welcomed us and showed us around. The apartment was spotless, with a living room and large sofa that extends, a dining room, kitchen, hallway, and a newly furnished separate bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The mattress is on the softer side, if that matters to you. The bathroom was nicely done, with a roomy shower, washing machine, and hairdryer. The one drawback was slow wi-fi. There’s air conditioning and a large flat-screen TV, mostly with German channels. We don’t watch TV on weekends, but it could be handy if the weather turns bad. The kitchen has plenty of cookware and dishes, plus a roomy fridge and freezer, so there’s no need to bring those things. The upstairs apartment for 4 has a small balcony with a table, bench, and clothes rack. Parking is available in the courtyard. EDIT August 2024: We returned to Nevena's place with our family and baby, this time staying in the larger apartment in the house next door. It’s upstairs and has two large bedrooms, a living room, kitchen with dining area, and a renovated bathroom with a washing machine. There’s also a large terrace and enough parking. I recommend it for families.
