Colentum Resort Murter

We were there for a wedding and had an amazing time. The hotel is charming, the location and view are beautiful, and the service was great.

The beach is right there, with beautiful blue water, the staff are nice, the rooms modern if nothing fancy, and the pool area looks good. But the surrounding area isn't very nice, with lots of trash and leftover construction material, and the beach is so crowded that towels are about 10 cm apart. Dinner from the buffet was below mediocre, with hardly any options. Drinks cost extra, which would have been okay, but one waiter was serving 25-plus tables. We sat for an hour and couldn't order a drink, even after going to the bar twice and trying there. They told us he'd come to our table, but he never did. For more than €200 a night, I expected a lot more. A big disappointment, and unfortunately I can't recommend the place. :(

Every evening the hotel plays extremely loud music that echoes across the whole area. It's unbearably loud even 400 meters away, so I can't imagine how anyone inside can sleep around 10 or 11 p.m. The noise level is outrageous, and the hotel seems to show no consideration for its guests or the neighbourhood. Absolutely not recommended, especially for families or anyone who wants peace and quiet.

The food was amazing, the rooms were clean and simple, and the staff were nice. This is probably the best hotel in Murter, though I wouldn't choose Murter again in general. I didn't understand the car park: you park wherever, it's not even a proper parking area, and they still charge €7 a day. In general, €1,500 for six days didn't feel like a good deal.
