Guest House Burela

We spent a week here. The location has a lot going for it, and the rooms are fair for the price. The kitchen is spacious and the terrace is pleasant, though neither really stands out. The experience was let down by several issues. The welcome felt cold, and there wasn't a genuine connection with the host. The rooms don't seem to be maintained with improvement in mind, but just for profitability, something other guests have also pointed out. The bathroom had no toilet paper, soap, or shampoo, which felt like little care was given to guest comfort. The terrace furniture could be better: the table and chairs were fragile and unstable, more decorative than useful. The internet was a major problem. It was promised but didn't work, and the explanations felt evasive. Other reviews suggest the internet issue comes up repeatedly, and the owner doesn't take responsibility for it. It's a shame that a well-positioned place advertises services that aren't delivered and offers excuses instead of solutions. The location deserves five stars, and the general conditions might earn three or four if I were being generous, but I gave one star because of the lack of transparency and real concern for guests' comfort. If genuine improvements are made, though, the place deserves another chance.
