Zaton H. Resort Dalmata Eco Mobile Homes

The food service has become the main problem for us. With so many guests, one restaurant is expected to serve everyone. Waiting about 30 minutes just to order a pizza, then another 40-50 minutes for it to arrive, is common. Drinks and other meals take just as long. The staff are doing their best, and I don't blame them personally. There simply aren't enough dining facilities. Closing three large restaurants was a significant mistake, and the train connection to Nin that once made it easy to go out for a meal is gone, so those options are much more limited. I also think the website should say clearly that only a limited number of restaurants are operating. Right now there is one main restaurant and a small venue near the old PINIA pool, where a popular beach bar used to be. We've been coming to Zaton Holiday Resort regularly since 2019 as a family with a motorhome and children, usually twice a year for two or three nights before continuing our trip. We've seen a lot of changes and supported the resort's development, but lately I've started to question where it's heading. More of the camping area, including attractive pitches near the sanitary facilities, is being replaced by mobile homes. I understand wanting to offer more kinds of accommodation, but it seems to come at campers' expense. The resort feels more focused on maximising profits than on guests who are on holiday, paying a lot and expecting comfort, relaxation and a stress-free stay. Construction in places that used to be green spaces adds to the disappointment. In my view, this season's changes weren't thought through properly. With so many guests, the resort needs enough facilities and comfortable conditions for everyone. For years I would gladly have given Zaton Holiday Resort five stars. This season, I can only give it two. I'd still like to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication. I wish them strength and perseverance, and hope management takes long-term guests' feedback into account.
