House Villa Joy Novigrad (Istra)

Such a beautiful place to stay, with plenty of space, privacy, and cleanliness. We loved it.

A lovely, tidy place with lots of privacy. I’d recommend staying here.

The house is charmingly furnished and had what we needed for our stay at Villa Joy with two teenagers. There were three bedrooms and either two or three bathrooms. We ended up feeling very comfortable, though we had to deal with several cleanliness issues ourselves: the living room floor still showed bare footprints toward the pool, there were toothpaste splashes on a bathroom door, one bedroom’s beds smelled of sweaty feet, and a drain was blocked. The water heater in one bathroom also wasn’t working, but a repairman fixed it on the sixth day.

A stylish, modern holiday home in a quiet spot, with a cozy terrace and pool. The scorpion in the bathroom with the toilet and shower lives behind the tiles, where it's dark and damp. It’s called Juan, so please don't kill it. It only comes out in the evenings when the bathroom is dark. The loose door handle was another drawback: it had been pulled out several times before we arrived, and the screws ripped out of the wooden door were all that still held it on. Apart from that, it’s a great holiday apartment, and day trips are easy. Novigrad and Umag are less than half an hour away by car, while Pula and Rovinj take one to two hours via the Mauresstraße (Mountain Road).
