The photos make it look much nicer than it is in person. Everything is broken.

It was affordable compared with other apartments in Novalja, and the house is in a fairly convenient spot. We weren't asked for the deposit we expected when we booked. The owner also saved us the cost of having the apartment cleaned at the end of our stay. There was no bidet in the bathroom. Although the house is listed for four people, there’s just one bedroom with two beds, so the other two guests have to use a sofa bed in the kitchen. The interior photos online don’t match what the house is really like.

We booked through Booking.com, and the owner was very friendly. The apartment was bigger than we expected, clean, and had all the comforts. It’s in a perfect spot close to the beach and shops, and we could see the sea from the balcony.

The rooms are lovely, with a big balcony, and the location is great. The owner was very, very nice too. The cutlery could use a better wash or a more careful check between guests. Still, I’d absolutely recommend staying here. In my view, even five stars wouldn’t be enough!
