Apartments "Novalja"

Darko, our host, was incredibly accommodating and helped with everything we needed. The apartment and location were excellent. All praise and recommendations! 😊

We spent 12 amazing days here, my girlfriend and I, and I’d gladly come back. The apartment was spotless, really spacious, and had a fantastic terrace overlooking the sea. I’ve never seen a rented private apartment with a better-equipped kitchen; it had pretty much anything you could think of. Our host was extremely helpful, gave us lots of good advice, stayed available around the clock for questions, and was flexible about check-in and check-out. The location works for all kinds of holidays, with the city centre, supermarket, restaurants, post office, banks, and more all close by. I’d strongly recommend this place.

Darko and his family have been in this business for more than 10 years, and they have deep roots in Novalja. The house used to be their home before it was rebuilt for tourists, which I found interesting. It has a relaxed feel, with several entrances and good sound insulation, so different kinds of guests can stay at once without having to interact. Rooms are spacious, there are all the essentials and plenty of extras, and it’s pet friendly. The balcony is huge and lovely, with another place to sit in the small garden. The location is right in central Novalja, close to everything and the main roads. Darko’s aunt is very nice, too. We chatted, and she shared lots of interesting memories about how things used to be. The guests I saw seemed very happy with her and the wider family as well as with Darko. Darko is a generous, professional host who knows the island inside out. He manages events and is connected with lots of local activities, hosts, and businesses, so he can help set you up with the kind of holiday you want. He knows where young people can party, where families can go, and what suits older visitors. He works with a local agency and is especially knowledgeable about the party scene. Zrće isn’t the only place to go out, and Darko knows the other spots, too. I’m here with my mum and may come back with friends or a date if I want to visit Zrće again. If you don’t want a party holiday, this is still a great base in the region. While I’ve been here, different kinds of tourists have all got along without issues. I reckon Darko is the best host in Novalja, and I wouldn’t swap him or this house even for a free apartment here. His family is around in the off-season, though Darko runs the business from his other home then. Most people visit in season, when he’s still a top-notch host for service and local knowledge. I’d especially recommend contacting him if you’re coming off-season, but really, he’s worth contacting any time. He has a big network, even across Pag Island, and can help with accommodation or the sort of holiday you’re after, even if these apartments are full. He’s the first person I’d get in touch with anywhere on the island, not just Novalja and Zrće. There aren’t many local family businesses left in 🇭🇷 with tourism expanding, so contact Darko for his local knowledge and hospitality. This place has charm and suits pretty much everyone, whether you’re here to party, flirt, or have a family holiday. You can’t go wrong staying here or asking Darko to help find you a place. Enjoy whatever you’re after on this wonderfully friendly island. And write a better review than mine if you can beat it, heh, just kidding. 😁☺️💪🍀☀️

I spent three days here with three friends. The rooms, beds, shower, and toilet were all very clean, and the hotel manager was kind. I can absolutely recommend it.
