The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with a handy little kitchen and a covered spot to eat outside. We also had safe off-street parking, good internet that reached the pool, and our own entrance and side of the shared pool area, which gave us some privacy. We came as a couple hoping for a quiet stay, and that’s exactly what the listing promised. The owner, Vanja, was kind and kept an eye on the pool and the two groups of young men staying in the other units. One afternoon, a group pointed a loud speaker toward us and turned the music up when we came outside. We ignored it, and Vanja seems to have heard, since they switched it off about 15 minutes later. The rest of the afternoon by the well-kept little pool was peaceful. Quiet hours are posted as 11 pm to 8 am, and the pool is locked then. The checkout requests were just to leave the place in decent shape, take out the rubbish, and not leave dirty dishes. That all seemed fair. We booked through Marriott Villas, whose listing clearly described a peaceful setting and said party groups weren’t allowed, so I don’t understand complaints from people who expected to party all the time.
