That balcony view was incredible, and the owner was the sweetest, so kind and polite. We had a wonderful vacation and came away with such a good impression of her. It was a real success, and I’d happily return to a host like that 😁

The holiday was nearly eight years ago, but my children still bring it up, sadly not as a good memory. The listing and booking site advertised two bedrooms, but we found a sofa bed in the “living room” instead. It was a three-quarter-size bed with a sheet that barely covered it. The walls were so thin we could hear another family’s small children. I told the landlord right away, and she offered us another apartment. At first that didn’t seem odd, but after moving our things and looking around, we saw it was full of old stuff, with half of it broken or dating back to 1970. We tried to sleep, then packed and left at 4:00 a.m., which was a real disappointment. When I tried to review the stay on Booking site, I found the lady had blocked us. That’s why, in my view, the reviews you see are always positive, and she seems to keep negative ones from appearing. We told Booking site, but they said they only mediate, and if things don’t work out, you’re out of luck. If you want a nice holiday, skip this place.

It’s tucked away, so you’ll need a car to get around. The owner is incredibly nice.

Bilonje is decorated so nicely, and the hosts are friendly.
