Apartments Tajana

The location is amazing, with everything close by, and we had everything we needed. The owner was kind, the rooms were neat, and the terrace was beautiful. The kitchen oven wasn't working, but it was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. The only thing that needs attention is the weak wi-fi signal in the rooms. Everything else was good, and we're very satisfied.

We had to leave the street-facing door open at night to get away from the heat and smoke smell, and the scratchy sheets were almost unbearable. The ground-floor apartment was very basic and poorly furnished, with dirty walls marked by mosquitoes from previous tenants. The bathroom had no window, smelled bad, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. Although booking said otherwise, there was no Wi-Fi or air conditioning. When I complained, the owner got angry and said the Wi-Fi didn't work because the apartment was too far away. It's a shame she'd claimed it did work when we arrived. For our final night she offered another apartment in the attic, which was cleaner and had working Wi-Fi and air conditioning. I thought that was an apology for the inconvenience, but she charged us an extra €15: €5 for the higher cost of the new apartment and €10 because we'd probably bothered her. We'd brought our own scratchy sheets and used towels. Professionalism and courtesy in welcoming guests are something else. Yugoslavia of 40 years ago, huh!

The landlady was very pleasant, and parking was in the garden behind the gate. The accommodation was good, even though it was on the 3rd floor.
