We had a great time. The staff were kind and helpful, and the owner is an interesting person. If you like football, you'd enjoy chatting with him. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast had lots of choices, which we could enjoy on the sunny terrace.

The family Makin run the hotel and are all involved, so everyone seems ready to help and make sure you get the most out of your stay. The hotel also has a restaurant/tavern serving typical Istrian food and wines, along with an a la carte menu. It's a very pleasant, clean hotel in beautiful Novigrad. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay if you choose hotel Makin.

It was unfortunate timing for me, as I was there on what has been my worst day so far. Still, the place itself was clean and quiet, a very good place to stay, and less than a five-minute walk from the sea.

A family-run hotel at an affordable price, with a restaurant serving nice local dishes. A lovely place for a weekend.

We were greeted very warmly, and the room was simple but clean. Dinner at their restaurant was amazing.
