Casa Blanca White House

Helena was cheerful and helpful, and shared plenty of good local tips for culture and sports. Taken together, it makes for a romantic holiday base with lots of options for active outings and day trips. The house is white, modern and just as pictured. From the house, terrace and pool, the view over the sea towards Trogir is marvelous. There’s also a lower, shaded terrace with a Croatian-style wood barbecue, a lovely spot for an easy dinner with friends. The sea is about a minute downhill. The beach is stony, with direct access to deeper water and steps to get into the sea. The slope down to it may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. It’s a calm, relaxing area, though you can hear planes because Split airport is nearby. That also makes getting to the airport quick. I’d recommend arriving by car and keeping one during your stay, since local buses aren’t great. Trogir and Split are close, and Plitvice, Krka, Omiš and the islands around Split all work well for day trips. Supermarkets are just a few minutes away by car. We found it best to stock the fridge with good food when you arrive, so you can skip daily store runs and just relax.
