The owner lives upstairs with his dog Lex and was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The villa is about 15 minutes from Trogir, and Split takes 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Set aside a day to just lounge by the pool. This hidden gem is a beautiful, spacious place to stay and well worth the money. There’s a lovely view, and the crystal clear blue water is right at your feet. The man in the first photo, who looks like Ernest Hemingway, is Marovic', the owner of the villa.

We loved the quiet setting and the sea view from our second-floor apartment each morning. The shared pool and barbecue area were available whenever we wanted, and the landlord, who lives in the building, was friendly and helpful. He understands a little German. There’s a small beach bar just around the corner, but you’ll need a car to get around otherwise. Trogir is about a 10-minute drive away and is lovely for an evening out. The apartment had everything we needed for a very nice holiday.
