The intimate beaches right in front of the house are great, and there’s even a freshwater shower. Mira, the hostess, is incredibly friendly, as is her son Robert. The rooms are okay, clean, and have everything you need. The stairs can be tiring, but there’s a way to make that easier: a tunnel under the street and a driveway to the parking lot in front of the apartment.

The balcony view was the reason I picked this room, and it really delivered. We had a top-floor room with access from the upper parking area. Inside, everything felt fresh and clean: new floor and wall tiles, kitchen and bathroom, plus a huge, very comfortable bed. The towels and bedding were crisp. We stayed nine days without needing a change, though I think they would have brought fresh ones right away if we had asked. For two people it was just right, with a large sofa for a third. The beach is lovely, small and rocky, with warm, clean water and usually space to settle. It’s about 200 steps down, which didn’t bother us. We spent our days on air mattresses under an umbrella, inflating them in the room before carrying them down. There’s a free beach shower too. The hosts are welcoming and easy to approach. The older lady doesn’t speak English but was keen to help; her children Robert and Edita speak it fluently and happily answer questions or suggest places to visit. A little supermarket 200 meters away had everything, including morning bread rolls, at prices like an average Konzum. There’s a restaurant across the road, and Omiš is a five-minute drive. Great spot, and I’ll be back.

I’ve stayed with Robert and Edyta twice now, so I may be biased. What matters most to me is having plenty of room and a sea view, and these apartments have both. The beach is nearby, though there are 211 steps to get down, which stopped being an issue by day three. Studenac and a restaurant are close as well, and traffic on the D8 didn’t cause us any trouble. I was happy with the stay again.

The owners were lovely and helpful, and their English is fluent. Polish, though, is a bit of a struggle! The setting reminded me of Taormina, with stairs everywhere. 😁 For anyone hoping to lose weight, it’s quite a workout. 🤣 The apartment was generally fine. Since the weather was good, we didn’t dwell on the details, but the kitchen appliances are a little dated. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom and couldn’t keep up once it got above 33⁰C. The bathroom is small, so getting the water temperature just right was tricky. The bed by the open kitchen is comfortable, but the wall doesn’t keep out outside noise, especially at night and early morning. Light sleepers may have a hard time. Otherwise, plenty to like. Booking directly with the owner gets prices 30% lower than on Booking.com, so it’s worth arranging it yourself. 😉
