The beach has a lovely sea view and has recently been redone, though there’s hardly any shade. New trees seem to have been planted, but they don’t provide much cover yet. At least it’s only a minute’s walk back to your air-conditioned room for a beer. The beach bar is beautiful and less than 150 meters away, and the restaurant downstairs is very good too. When you arrive, ask there about the apartments and they’ll welcome you and hand over the keys. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The town center is around a 10-minute walk, a nice stroll after a big meal. I’d recommend the large castle: you can walk up from town or take the mountain road. From the access point shown on Google Maps, it’s about a 25-minute climb, and it’s steep, so good shoes are a must. With children, I’d allow twice as long. Entry costs 20 Kuna, and you can buy water at the ruins if you need it. We had a great vacation.
