The bathroom sink only had scalding hot water, so we had to use the kitchen sink, which was just as gross. There was no toilet seat, the fridge didn’t work, and there was no free Wi-Fi or parking. We were told to park on the street if we could. There was almost no furniture, and loose, unfinished wires were all over the place. The so-called panoramic view looked out over an industrial complex. It was disgusting and uncomfortable, and also felt dangerous. We paid EUR 190 for two nights, and despite the evidence and nightmare stay, the place wouldn’t refund anything. Avoid it.

The hostess was so friendly and ready to help with questions, and she gave us a warm, personal welcome even though we arrived around midnight. The location is quiet, with a little shop just around the corner and a Lidl about five minutes away by car. The water is also a five-minute drive away, and our dog was welcomed too. We had a lovely terrace, Wi-Fi, air conditioning for summer, and underfloor heating for cooler days. The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and they’d provided all the basics, from toilet paper, soap, dish soap, a sponge, and a tea towel to baking paper. The price felt absolutely fair. We’ll definitely return!

One star only because zero wasn’t an option. We booked a room with air conditioning, but it worked for just one night, then stopped on the second day. Customer service told us the hosts weren’t there and would check it the following day. They never even called, leaving us for two nights in 30-degree heat without AC or a window. The place also didn’t match its Booking description: there was no sea view, and the so-called private bathroom was outside the room where anyone could get to it. It had no window, a tiny sink, nowhere to put our things, and was dirty and smelly. The service was terrible, really nonexistent. It’s the worst apartment we’ve ever stayed in.
