A lovely place with a beautiful sea view.

The owners are incredibly sweet and helpful, even though they barely speak German or English. They welcomed us with homemade wine and delicious Croatian snacks. Our luggage was a challenge because there are lots of stairs, but the couple and their granddaughter helped carry it. You do need to be reasonably fit to manage the steps. There’s plenty to do nearby, from hiking in Ucka and swimming in the sea to seeing ancient sites in Pula or visiting the islands of Cres, Krk, and Brijuni. The cottage was spotless and fully equipped, with a balcony and seating, plus a garden with furniture and a stone barbecue. It sits on the mountain above Lovran, with a magnificent sea view. Nothing but praise for the hosts and Apartmani Delost.
